Unhappy headlights randomly turning off while driving.

Hey guys for the last couple of days the cars headlights have turned off three times randomly while driving. When it happens my interior lights remain on (not sure about my tail lights). When I turn the light switch off and on though they stay no problems for at least 20 min. Please give me an idea what's going on please thanks.

Ooh and I'm not a noob to forums I tried searching but it literally gave me zero results.

I was having this type of problem when I would turn on my turn signal. I replaced the turn signal stalk assembly, and haven't had a problem since.

When they turn off, do they stay off or come right back on? Try to see if it does it when you turn the turn signal on. Mine did it very quickly, off, then on.

Also, check the grounds on both sides, right behind the headlights.

Mine come right back on. Sometimes it only affects my fog lights when I hit my turn signal, for as long as one full second. Other times when hitting the signal, my headlights will barely flicker. Other times, when turning on my headlights, my dash lights will blink off and back on. It's rare, though, and only seems to happen on cold nights.

Hmm. This is on my G1 btw. Anyway, it's been like this for about two years now, and it's never gotten any worse.

I've had this problem too, very rarely. Driving along, straight ahead. Lights turn off for half a second then on again... little unsettling but hardly ever happens.

On a G1 it's corroded contacts in the headlite switch which can be repaired with a little cleaning (I'm sure there's a diy from about 10 years ago). Never heard of it in aG2 but I'd bet that a dissassembly might reveal the same condition.

I would guess the G2 very similar, if not almost exactly like the G1. I just replaced the turn signal stalk with a clean used one and it hasn't done it since. How's it been going Peter? Long time no see.
