otherwise i'd be looking at wheel bearings, tires, front end components, axles, etc.

I don't recall any Legend ever having a shaking problem caused by ABS.
A few G1's have had mid-speed shaking problems caused by the automatic transmission being gummed up. But I don't recall any G2's with a similar problem. So, unless by shaking, you meant a pulsating brake pedal, I agree with Aperovich that you should check the bearings, tires, etc... -Kennon |

The Entire Car Shakes Not The Pedal. So far i have removed the ABS sensors on the tires and did some front end work but my ABS light is still on the dash.

Your original post failed to mention the ABS light.
Not that it matters with regard to the shaking, as that is likely being caused by something unrelated to the ABS. If you want the ABS light to turn off you will need to unplug the ABS computer. It's behind the rear seatback on the G1, not sure where it is on the G2. Or you could fix the ABS. Did you happen to note the code it was throwing before removing the wheel sensors? For the shaking the first thing to check is the tires for belt separation or being out of round, and for balance, then alignment, then the wheel bearings, then the brakes, then the CV joints, and the transmission. If you shift into neutral does the shaking get better, worse, or stay the same? -Kennon |

if the whole car is shaking, its not your abs causing it..

Revisiting This. So Now The ABS Light Is Still On. Took it the mechanic last year and mentioned doing an ABS delete i don't want to do that. I spoke to Acura Guru i know and mentioned that i need to replace some sort of cable. So what happens now is i could be driving fine then the car would slow up feels like the brakes are being applied i generally either turn of the car and back on and it 'fixes' itself or when i get to a light i pump the brakes and its fine but def want to get this fixed.

Do 2nd Gens have that blinking light diagnostic in the ABS Control Unit?
If the brakes are applying during normal driving, could it be a wheel speed sensor going bad?

Unless the G2 has some form of stability control I don't think the ABS has any mechanism to apply the brakes. The ABS works by reducing hydraulic pressure in the regular brake system when wheel lock is detected.
An old swollen rubber brake hose (or a pinched hose) might continue to hold pressure on a brake after you let off the brake pedal. The ebrake cable could potentially hold pressure on the rear brakes if it were not moving freely. A dragging seal in the master cylinder could cause continued pressure after you let off the brake pedal. Has the shaking mentioned in your original post been resolved? -Kennon |

You are correct. My mistake. The only time any ABS system applies the brakes is when the brake pedal is depressed.
