Hi guys. Have a 2004 NHBP/Ebony 1g RL that has been in the family since the day I was born. She has 225K miles and I recently corrected the paint. Nice clear on the 1Gs by the way. Took a bit of effort to correct with a long throw DA. Gonna post pics as soon as I figure out a way to compress images to 100kbs without making it look horrible.

Why is the image limit 10 kilobytes? Thats really low. Have to compress the hell out of the images. Anyhow, here is an image. IMG_2024-03-24_18-1756 360.jpg

Ahh. Ok. Just weird how it says the limits are 100kbs in the little menu. Tried to embed using Flickr, but doesn't seem to work. Thanks for the info anyways. This is the first old-school forum I've ever used.

Good day OP. Your initial Flicker (Flic.kr) link worked just fine for me. Still got to scroll through advertisements placed between the pictures.
Yes the Photobucket FIASCO was probably the last straw to kill off most of the guys that were in this forum regularly. Thankfully for me I have the original digital pictures of all my Photobucket items they have "retained" for their attempt to profit from all of us. Wherever you are I see pictures that make me COLD! That white stuff on the ground and what not are against my personal weather temperature preferences. My Mom had a 98 RL Premium. Eventually it was "gifted" to my younger brother who traded it in on something else. We have NO IDEA what the actual mileage was on the car as that digital odometer went out MANY, MANY YEARS earlier.

Heard about the photobucket thing. Not nice. That white stuff happens for 4 months out here. Hell of a transition from that to mid 90s. Heard that the suspensions on the pre-facelifts were boaty as all hell.
The 04' is kinda stiff in general. Not boaty at all. Just wish there were more tires available in 225/55r16. Weird how little tires are in that size despite it being a common oem even into the 2010s with some Mercs.

Mom's RL was DEFINITELY floaty like a boat! I HATED IT! Coming from a GS Legend that had stick to her car was nearly traumatizing. I've never been a fan of the RL having dealt with her car. Rear window regulators being $250 a piece and breaking as often as they did, digital odometers going out like a light switch, cluster bulbs independently taking turns burning out P R N D D3 D2 (or however the Ds went) you often had no clue looking at the cluster and we won't even talk about HOW to take out that cluster (say ADDIOS to the center a/c vents in the dash). Just to name a few things son did for his Mom and that RL thingy!

Yeah. They fixed the boat aspect of this car by 04 and then some. Mine has been pretty trouble free. Now starting to do a lot of unscheduled repairs. (PS Rack, muffler, lower ball joints, cv axle, EVAP purge valve) She's reliable though. The regulators are easy in the rear and cheap if you get them from RockAuto or other sources. They go bad anyways so it doesn't matter too much!
