It has the two rough spots. Will be looking it over some more and then one last time in Spring before I pull everything. When you put balance belt on an it makes it worse(and I verified clocking position) doesn't bode well.

Car runs. But need to pull transmission back off to get aluminum flywheel balanced.
Pulled borrowed Stromung B-pipe and type 2 muffler to bring to a place to make a few custom setups for guys to buy in Spring. I installed a car hoist but concrete guy lied to me and ended up doing it myself and had to let it all cure. I had an O2 sensor code because a wire pulled out of the loom area at ABS area. However I am still knocking at 3k above and a little worried I have a lifter issue on passenger side cylinder head. I detuned back to Type 1 ignition and fuel basically and can tell I lost alot of power down low and STILL through a knock code! Also, like most, life gets in the way and trying to pace myself and where I put my money. In my neck of the woods I can't start work on it again until end of March at earliest , most likely May. This means prototyping parts on it as well.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. I just finished reading your thread and wow, I know exactly how you feel especially when you said when things go wrong you don’t get mad just sad aka depressed. I also installed a 2post lift in my garage and love it. I couldn’t trust the contractor so I ended up doing it myself by installing the footings and electrical. I admire your drive and I hope you accomplish your goal with the coupe. Too bad we aren’t neighbors because the weekends would definitely be fun lol.

Bumpity bump bump!
So the 3.5 hybrid is back together after some work. I personally made new small end bushing to hone out properly for the new piston pins so less cold start clatter. The entire rotating assembly was balanced by me within a gram(f1 territory) and then brought with flywheel to have the crank balanced to the new weights. I then went to the work to back track(so much bs) to install the type 2 manifold versus keeping the much cleaner and elegant 3.5 layout. They type 2 intake proved to improve horsepower on most of the curve with Kenso and another individual so I felt I might as well. I then had to modify the one header to fit better. I then had RL camshaft reground(not by WEB) to Type 2 specs with only 1 degree added duration, otherwise I would need to hardweld or use the rare Type 2 cams which I wasn't ready to sacrifice yet or reduce base circle to much. On startup I worked through some issues, stupid vacuum lines, and potentially a sticking fast idle valve, but it still will not run good enough. I have ordered a AEM FPR because I believe I am running to lean and even with different chips and even a fully stock Type 2 ecu it is running to rough. This is with a new fuel filter and cleaned injectors. Also I threw in some well used NGK platinums because I didn't trust my iridiums even though they were a colder heat range for my added compression. I also swapped in some used o2 sensors because I think i was using RL sensors and didn't know if there was a difference to just make sure my ecu saw the correct readings. . I am trying to be a little more transparent before the full reveal and just wanted to announce that it is back together. I probably will not get it running good till spring due to temperatures rapidly falling in MN.
