Default How hot does......

your intake manifold and valve covers get? (not coolant temp) my intake an valve covers get real damn hot but my temp never goes over the half way mark. i guess i just wanted to know if it is normal? (3.5 with TYPE 2 intake did not know if it made a difference.)

It's normal.
If my hood gets hot you know my intake manifold is pretty toasty also.

Yeah my intake mani and valve covers get damn hot. Side note, your temp gauge shouldnt budge from 1/3. If it does, there is an issue.

91-92 has different number of lines than 93-95 just so ya know. Every 93-95 I've ever driven sat 1 line below the half way point, i dunno where Chrispy is getting 1/3 from maybe thats 91-92.

1/3 like 1/3 of the way up from H. If it was a clock it would be about the 4 o'clock position. Idk I was typing fast.

I wonder how hard it would be to make one of those intake manifold spacers for us?

You know the ones that can significantly lower the manifold temp?

Here is were it sits I got a cluster out of a 91 from alittlethin and i put all my 94 spedo, tach and gas gage in it. But the temp gage out of the 94 did not work in the 91 cluster so i just used the 91 temp gage. Here is what i have.
