Default ALB module different from year to year?

I have 2 parts numbers, but physically the units look the same. Can anyone verify they are the same with the only difference being the part numbers? This is the unit that sits behind the passenger's rear seat. http://www.acuraoemparts.com/ shows that the A02 model is for a "91-95 Acura Legend" while the A11 model shows it is for a "1993-1995 Acura Legend" ONLY. Any knowledgeable input?

1993-1995 39790-SP0-A11
1991-1995 39790-SP0-A02

Thanks!

You probably know this, but just in case... not sure if it will do you any good:

Decoding Acura part numbers
Thought this would make an interesting thread topic

In this post, I'll explain in detail how Acura and Honda part numbers work. We'll use the following part number to illustrate:

60100-S0K-A90ZZ

This is the part number for a hood for a 1999-2001 TL. Now, let's see what the numbers mean:

60100 - This prefix number means that the part number is a hood. Therefore, every hood for every Honda and Acura vehicle carries this prefix as the part number. For example, 60100-S3V-A90ZZ would be a hood for an MDX, 60100-ST7-A91ZZ would fit an Integra.

Here's a few more prefix examples:

08P00- mudguards
08R01 - moonroof visor
33501 - right taillamp
04715 - rear bumper cover

S0K - This tells what kind of car it fits, or the first car it fit when originally created, in the case of parts that fit multiple cars. This is the model code for TL, 1999-2003.

Some others:

SP0- Legend 4 door, 1991-1995
S6M - RSX
ST8 - Integra 4 door, 1994-up
SL0 - NSX

A90ZZ - this suffix tells detail about the part itself.

"A" means that the part is for the North American market. Japan spec parts would carry a "J".

The "90" or "01" can refer to a manufacturer code, or model year. A hood for a 99-01 TL is 60100-S0K-A90ZZ, one for an 02-03 would be 60100-S0K-A91ZZ.

The "ZZ", which some parts don't have, refers to the fact that the part is unpainted. Painted parts have codes like "ZA" or "ZC", or other letter combinations.

I think A11 is for TCS equiped cars

All RHD legends use A02 from 93-95 after the ABS functions where changed in 93

Then when TCS was added to LHD European legends in 94 the ABS unit changed to A11

I think TCS was an option from 93 in the US wasnt it ?

There was no TCS ever added for RHD legends so the ABS unit remained A02

Makes sense because the tcs is integrated with the abs.

Using the above, does that mean that:

38600-SPO-A111-M1
38600-SPO-A112-M1

are the same exact part, but just used on different years?
That is the part # for an ICU. First one listed is 91-93 and second one listed
is 94-95.
Sorry for the thread-jack, Mike, but it's a close topic.

ICUs are different per model year. Trust me, I know from first hand experience. I anticipated I could use my 91-93 ICU on my 94-95 fuse box....negative. You'll need your year-specific ICU.
