				    | The Coupe Steals December's New Wheels

As some of you know, I picked up a set of 7 spoke rims in St. Louis on my way to NALM. They have 65000 original miles on them and they're in great condition. Its a shame that the coupe of the guy I bought these off of didn't make it to NALM because his coupe was in just as good shape. His coupe is in such good shape actually, that he tossed these 7 spoke rims, rims that I would describe as a smidge short of mint, because they were too beat up for the rest of the car. In any event, I've been on the prowl for a set of 7 spokers for December ever since I saw Blingting's car at NALM '08. December's GS rims are certainly in good shape but they fall considerably short of mint, especially in direct sunlight. I had Yokohama H4s mounted yesterday and I christened my hydraulic jack by installing these rims. Oh, right... I put them on the coupe because I wanted to put these new and expensive tires through their paces. December can't do this because she needs a timing belt and therefore does not see revs above 4 grand. Rims can be changed easily as I planned to do anyhow, it just turns out that the coupe gets the first shift. I have to say, I've always found the coupe's slightly smaller nature to fit the 7 spokers better while the sedan can make use of the extra metal in the GS rims because of its larger, longer, more stately look. I love these tires . (December's GS rims have the same yoko V4s) A couple of Mark's NALM pictures inspired me to experiment with angling shots... Heres a little bonus. Passed this little milestone a couple days ago. Unfortunately my cluster has been replaced at some point in the past so this is approximately 200k miles. The coupe is officially broken in. As a bonus to help kick off the gallery in this new forum, here are some never before seen shots of the coupe as she was when I bought her. Eww. And of course this is how the inside turned out: Pedal pads, a clean shift knob, a fresh e-brake button and some JDM door sills really make a big difference.

Looks great, makes me reconsider the 7 spokes. And by the way, I like how you give the cars personality in your post, like "the coupe stole december's wheels" or "the coupe and december meet for the first time" like they are mischievous children or something! I like it! |

Nice job with the coupe Ken! I have always loved the looks of the 7 spokers on our cars. That's why I have some too lol.

				  | Nice, nice, Ken! Look mint! I think Cantebury's look particularly great in those shoes!

Thanks guys Autocrossin Saturday! They switched to the road course so its gonna be great! I just hope I can find my sticky pod by then. At the VERY least you should buy a 5 speed knob and swap the indicators so you could at least have the feel of a new knob. Its only $30. I saw your knob. Its smooth and grimy. Do it.
