Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor
I own a Legend Coupe, year 1992. I need a camshaft sensor, part number: 37840-PY3-016. I can't find it anywhere to buy. It only exists with part number: 37840-PY3-026. Can anyone help me if it is suitable for my car?

the reason why 91/92 is different than 93-95 legend and 96-04 RL is the plug. instead of a male plug its a female plug. its the same sensor BUT the plug is reversed. I probably have a used 91/92 laying around if u want it

Greek is right about the plugs being reversed.
You can purchase aftermarket on rock auto. Its listed there as a crankshaft position sensor. Its located under the Ignition column. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=7196&jsn=1830 Here's one on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/176373652696

Yes most of the electrical system changes from the 1991 - 1993 verses 1994 - 1995 Legends were reversals of the plugs. I can only imagine that the car was more popular than anticipated and the 85 million initial order of the plug stock was low so they made a new order. Why they went male for female and female for male plug reversals still baffles me.
