Default MLS Strut Bar

So I'm taking off the mods to my car before it sells. I would hate to think some random person would end up driving my car without knowing they had a rare strut bar under the hood.

The bar is in good condition, just some scratches in the finish near the mounting holes and where the A/C lines touch during installation.

Pictures coming. My camera is shot, so I'm resorting to my camera phone.

I would like $220 plus s/h and paypal fee's.

Thank you,

Nick

That's 2 sold this week ---> http://forums.acuralegend.org/mls-st...&highlight=MLS

This one sold in roughly 2hrs of posting. Once again a statement has been made to the continued popularity of this mod.

This forum has seen a recent explosion of simular strut tower bars in development and production, some offered with lower pricing and even more versions still on the drawing boards... Yet the Copy MLS Strut Bar remains the #1 G2 suspension mod of choice.

One...

This is truly the best and most cost efficient mod for our cars hands down. With this mod the Legend becomes a much more enjoyable car. I've driven Legends for about 5 years now. Two of my previous Legends didn't have the MLS. I got it in my third Legend and I wanted to slap myself cause of the difference it made.

Thanks!

The new owner just left with his new MLS bar. It took us a while getting it to fit since he has a unique suspension compared to the rest of us. It was nice to meet another forum member. I'll let him chime in when he gets home!

First, I want to declare that this is a dangerous modification. Upon installing it, I was immediately tempted to do rapid zig zags up and down Chapman89's crowded street. After that, I got onto the freeway on-ramp with excessive and reckless speed that under normal circumstances, would have been curbed with tire squeal or some body roll.

Also, this modification directly contributed to increased fuel expenses. Instead of going straight home like I should have, the MLS bar forced me to drive into the North Georgia mountains in search of twisties. After about 60 miles of mountain switchbacks (and some video I will be incorporating into a future project), I was finally able to make it home.

Seriously though; here are the things I have noticed in the past seven or eight hours after installation:

1) the steering is noticeably more responsive. I find myself pulling to the left or the right often without meaning to. This will take some getting used to.

2) it's really nothing like what I've experienced on other cars with MLS bars. As Chapman89 and I were discussing as we installed, each car has its own quirks and will react to even the same mods in different ways. I've driven a handful of other cars with MLS bars but that gave me no preparation for what it would feel like on my car. I wish this was one of those mods that could be "tried" easily before purchase. More attention and buzz that way.

3)this modification is a HUGE confidence builder. You can read everywhere else for "oh it feels so much stiffer now" and "oh the car just turns in so nicely" but from what I noticed, the biggest thing the MLS bar does is create sheer confidence in the car's handling ability. I spent hours today exploring my car's new handling limits with the MLS bar ~ and this included some "hmmmm.... oh shit" moments too. I want to report more empirically on the MLS bar's added performance and do a whole objective run-down, but that will have to wait until I've spent more time with it.

Until then, the verdict is undecided about this mod being "worth the value" or "cost efficient." I will say this though: the past couple hours with my car have been some of the best in my ownership experience with my Legend and I look forward to really pushing this to its limit. Expect an entire thread devoted to this issue in the near future

Thanks Chapman89 =) glad you helped with that install; no way I could've managed that by myself even though it seems easy now that I look back at it. Definitely some unique twists and turns to get it to fit
