Wondering how the amplifiers are set up?

I have a BOSE HU, speakers and amps but I can not for the life of me get the amps to work or do anything for that matter.
When I dosconnect the stock HU and plug in the BOSE HU it powers up fine and plays music very faintly (no amps hooked up so it makes sense).
So there are 4 wires coming out of each amp, I assumed that two were +/- for power and the other two were +/- for speaker signal. So I go ahead and connect 12V to the amp and connect the speakers through the amp and I can't get a pop or even a crackle. Perhaps I have it wrong though?

Could anybody help me out with this?

Don't have time to research right now, but do you have the amplifier relay? It's located under the dash in the general vicinity of the main relay.

Briefly, at the amps the orange lead is the negatives from the HU, and the white leads are positive. Battery voltage that is switched through the amplifier relay is carried on the yel/red wires at the amplifier. And, of course, the black wire is for ground. The power and +/- for the speaker signals use the same pinouts at the back of the HU, though the color coding of the wires is different.

Are you certain that the amps your received are good? It's very, very common for those amps to go bad, even if they've been sitting on a shelf.

i know for a fact that you cannot get the speaker to pop through an amp. you can only do that to the speaker it self. that's about all the help i can give.

I just tested mine, and.. HOLLY F'ING CRAP THEY'RE LOUD!!!! I didn't expect them to be that loud! I took a spare Buick radio I had laying around, and I was testing to see which speaker wires where what on a standard Kenwood speaker I've got, I took and hooked the Bose up to it, and scarred the stuff out of myself!
