Bad case of the Mondays

I just need to vent a little bit here. Monday isnt even halfway gone yet and I'm having probably the worst Monday ever.

For starters, I wake up and it's freezing outside and raining. To Californians freezing is 40 degrees, FYI. And actually we've had snow on some of the lower elevation areas just from yesterday and today which is sort of rare (usually only the highest elevation parts of CA get snow).

So yeah, right there that got me in a bad mood. I dislike cold and rainy weather. On top of that, I was waking up early because I had to go to court. I get to the courthouse, early, everythings ok so far. Sit for ~1 hour until my name gets called. Then it goes from bad to worse.

I get a $550 fine slapped on me and a restricted license for the next year. I've never been so shocked. I was expecting to pay a fee to take a class and be done. Not to have my license restricted. The reason my license is being restricted is because I was 4 days short of being 21 when the incident happened. However when I got this same charge in the past, nothing happened to my license and my fine was about half of that. Great, so now I can only drive to school, work, or health care. WTF good does it do to have an awesome Acura Legend if I can't take it for a cruise? WTF am I supposed to do if I want to go out on a Friday? I fuckin hate public transportation. Oh and so what if I'm driving to the grocery store for food, does that count as health care or not?

So then I go to class, late. Oh yeah, that's fuckin right, I have 2 finals within the next week. How the fuck am I supposed to concentrate and study for my finals when I'm being raped in the ass for money?

Then after class I drive (illegally technically now) to go check on my car. still not finished. No headlights, no door panels, no front bumper, the bottom moldings havent been painted yet. Should be done by the end of the week. IT BETTER BE DONE BY THE END OF THE WEEK!! But what fuckin good does it do to have a nice paint job if I can hardly drive the car? Can you feel my anger yet?

So yeah I'm done ranting that felt good but I'm still pissed so say something funny or inapproprate or cheerful to try and sympathize with me and make me see the bigger picture because this is frustrating me right now.

atleast while you can't drive it the paint will be nice and cured when you DO drive it

the paint should have already cured spending the last 4 weeks sitting there already painted, just in pieces

my L's are suspended for a year... does that make u feel better? i can't even drive at all, legally. and i can't really drive my car right now anyways b/c of winter. i probably won't put on more then a few k in the next 5months on it.

The good news is that you didn't completely lose your license, at least you can still drive to work/school etc. I hope your day gets better...

My L's are suspended until April AND my tags are expired. Plus, I woke up to find out we have a Winter Storm Warning AND a Blizzard watch. To sum this up, Ive lived in Wisconsin since 1993.....Im from GEORGIA, Anything under 40 is def cold to me, and snow? Seriously? Snow. I think it snowed once when I lived in GA, but I was way too young to remember. But I feel you dude, I have finals too with a ton of other shit on my mind. Mondays ftl!

thanks guys i feel a little bit better. damn alex that blows. kitty you're right but i actually like fixing problems on my car so i might actually prefer having to install a new fuse box and having a real license over my situation

what if i get pulled over on a restricted license and the officer thinks i'm not going to work or school? yikes
