Well..... I've been putting up some stuff on craigslist and I can't believe all the damn lowballers!

example #1

brand new NRG engine tq damper for 65 bucks. I paid like 110 locally an even ebay doesn't have it for less than 90. Would you believe this mother effer is bitchin that I should sell it to him for only 50 bucks cause it's silver and not red like he wants! I told him to go pay for a red one then.

example#2

selling an Accord wiper motor for 20 bucks. Would you believe this other mother effer wants to give me only 15.

told him to go walk around a junkyard n pull one out and then pay 20 dollars still.

got plenty more examples, but man wtf are these people thinking. I'm selling stuff at junkyard prices n they still want things for free!

sorry to rant, but what yall think. Anyone have similar things happen?

well i cant talk cuz i lowball everything on CL unless its super rare. That being said, its usually only a starting point and i am usually willing to agree on a fair price

yea, I would say that it's just trying to be "negotiable"

i'd preface your ads, from now on, with "non-negotiable"

well see negotiating on craigslist is a given an there is nothing wrong with that at all. ( some of the items are clearly stated OBO)

it's just these people argue over emails! Not negotiate a better price.

straight up peckerheads like if I owe them something.

I'm probably just running into the select few. :dunno:

I'll agree it's annoying as hell.

If I'm not willing to negotiate then I put non negotiable. In addition, I don't put my phone number on CL. I tell them to email me and then we exchange phone numbers by email. I don't want phone calls at all hours from non serious buyers. If they are serious about it they will email and then we will exchange numbers and agree at a price.
