I removed the center console, radio climate control, glove box, left cover plate. I did not remove the arm rest or lower console. I think I found the
C533 7 pin connector; but not the amplifier (called Daslight brightness control Unit
in the link picture lower right.) Any suggestions? My dash lights have never
worked; I think it is a faulty or absent Illumination Amplifier.) Thanks.

This is what it looks like. Hope this helps. Maybe it's been removed and the plug you found is what gets plugged into the controller.

Thanks Action; the pic is a big help. It looks like one connector is involved and that
the control unit is not otherwise connected to a wire harness. The male protion does look
different than the 7 pin I located. Maybe I found something else. I appreciate your help.
